Charles Hoskinson, CEO and founder of IOHK, Input Output Hong Kong, responsible for the creation of the top 10 cryptocurrency Cardano – took to Youtube for a surprise AMA – or “Ask Me Anything”. This follows the recent rift between the IOHK, Emurgo, and the third entity of Cardano – The Cardano Foundation, the details of which were laid out in an open joint letter from both Mr. Hoskinson and Ken Kodama, CEO of Emurgo.
Hoskinson addressed the issue immediately, stating, “Let’s start with some of the news items”. He emphasized that the rift with the Cardano Foundation would not have an impact on the project’s overall success, in terms of launching the protocol, advancing research, or raise funds. He did acknowledge that this has most affected community growth and the ability for Cardano to dispel “FUD” (fear, uncertainty and doubt). He believed that this has also hurt the overall cohesiveness of the community, as well.
Hoskinson stated that Emurgo and IOHK were working together to rebuild their community using a multi-pronged strategy, that involved the creation of a small department in IOHK to address the matter. He even stated that he was “allocating people that were working on other projects, to assist, for the moment, on community management”. He also said that “we will make an announcement, probably in a week or two, about community management, at IOHK”.
Hoskinson stated his desire to set up a podcast with a split format with regards to the three entities of Cardano, that could serve as a platform to interview scientists, engineers, prominent cryptocurrency communities, passionate ADA investors, and more. He also stressed the idea that stories of retailers accepting Cardano, or the passion of the community, should be relayed to a larger audience.
